GARWOOD, NJ

Garwood evolved as a borough at the turn of the century from it’s neighboring towns of Westfield and Cranford. This tiny borough spans .65 miles and is bisected by the NJ Raritan Valley Train Line. North of the train tracks, most of the streets are numbered. On the south side, streets are named after trees. Residents of Garwood enjoy the ease of access to a great variety of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, parks, and more. In addition to smaller single-family homes, the newly developed leasing options such as the luxurious Lofts at Garwood and Vermella, make  Garwood an ideal option for young commuters, new families, and those seeking to downsize. Garwood Public School district services students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. High school students attend Arthur L. Johnson high school in neighboring Clark, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Clark public school district.
